Event Details
Here at SCRAP, we believe in starting on your Halloween costume weeks ahead. Well, really, we believe in starting, like, a YEAR ahead... but for those ready to DIY their costumes this October, come get creative with us this Sunday! We're costume-creating all day long. Both our regular 2-4pm family-friendly Crafternoon AND our once-a-month Craft 'N Chill, geared towards adults and other crafters at a more ambitious skill level, will be dedicated to the creation of Halloween costumes. We'll be pulling down our sewing machines and thread for participants to use all day! Craft 'N Chill participants with big projects to complete are very much encouraged to grab tickets for both the earlier Crafternoon event and the 5-7pm Craft N' Chill event, and stay until close! Every kind of costume is welcome, from ghouls to faeries, cartoon characters to abstract concepts, niche media references to blockbuster superheroes.
The Halloween Costume-Making events are a little more advanced and involved than our typical craft activities, and so the suggested cost is $15. To reserve your spot/seats in before the event, tickets can be purchased in advance through Eventbrite for a slight discount ($12.50 plus fees). SCRAP prioritizes access to affordable art materials and expressions, so if the ticket price poses a hardship, please donate whatever you can through the donation ticket type on Eventbrite. You can also purchase tickets (or donate what you can) in the store on the day of the event, though capacity limits of our space might mean that you will not be guaranteed a seat/spot.
