A fun time is in store for daytime on the 4th of July in South Portland - the Independence Day Classic Car Show! In addition to a display of vintage and classic cars at Bug Light Park from 11am to 2pm, there will also be a fundraiser barbecue, the Summer in Maine Auction, and a reading of the Declaration of Independence, read by our own "Benjamin Franklin". The museum opens at 10am, the barbecue opens at 11am, and grab your spot for the reading at noon from the museum front porch.The Summer in Maine Auction will close after the Declaration of Independence is read. If you have a vintage, classic car, we hope you will join us! It's a drop in event, but to help with planning, you are encouraged to let us know if you plan to come with a vintage car.
