Celebrate the 4th of July with the Winter Harbor Music Festival at the 1st 4th of July Celebration. Music will begin at 7 and continues throughout the evening. Hear opera, musical, folk and classical favorites as you eat, drink, and be celebrate. Performers feature pianist and festival Executive Director, Deiran Manning, (faculty at Husson and UMO), flutist and Artistic Director Deirdre McArdle (festival founder), Celine Mogielnecki, soprano (Faculty at the Rome School of Music), Josh Gurwitz, tenor (founding member of the Greylock Opera Collective and frequent performer in NYC) Celeste Mittlehauser, soprano (frequent local performer and festival veteran), Jessica Mehre, piano (former UMO student of Phillip Silver) and violinist Anatole Wieck (internationally renown musician and UMO faculty). In addition to classical music we will feature Ryu Mitsuhashi, former member of the Tough End String Band, as well as Grammy balloted folk singer songwriter Gordon Thomas Ward. Complementary beer provided by a generous donation from Fogtown Brewing in Ellsworth.
